What medications might I be given along with DARZALEX FASPRO?

DARZALEX FASPRO may be given alone or together with other medications used to treat multiple myeloma.1

Your healthcare provider will give you medications before each dose of DARZALEX FASPRO and after each dose of DARZALEX FASPRO to help reduce the risk of serious allergic reactions and other reactions due to release of certain substances throughout your body.1

  • You may receive the following pre-medications 1-3 hours before each dose of DARZALEX FASPRO1:
    • Acetaminophen 650 mg to 1,000 mg by mouth
    • Diphenhydramine 25 mg to 50 mg (or equivalent) by mouth or into your vein (intravenously)
    • Corticosteroid (long- or intermediate-acting)
      • If taking DARZALEX FASPRO alone: Methylprednisolone 100mg (or equivalent) by mouth or into your vein (intravenously). Can be lowered to 60mg after the second dose of DARZALEX FASPRO.
      • If taking DARZALEX FASPRO with other medications: Dexamethasone 20mg (or equivalent) by mouth or into your vein (intravenously) prior to every dose.
  • You may receive the following post-medications the day after administering DARZALEX FASPRO1:
    • Corticosteroid (long- or intermediate-acting)
      • If taking DARZALEX FASPRO alone: Methylprednisolone 20mg (or equivalent) by mouth for 2 days.
      • If taking DARZALEX FASPRO with other medications: Oral methylprednisolone at a dose of 20mg or less may be given based on your healthcare provider's decision.
    • For patients with a history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), short and long-acting bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroids may be given. These additional post medications can be discontinued after the first 4 doses of DARZALEX FASPRO if you do not experience a major systemic administration-related reaction.
