SPRAVATO Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS): Because of the risks for sedation, dissociation, respiratory depression, abuse and misuse, SPRAVATO is only available through a restricted program called the SPRAVATO Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy Program. SPRAVATO can only be administered at healthcare settings certified in the SPRAVATO REMS Program. Patients treated in outpatient healthcare settings (such as medical offices and clinics) must be enrolled in the program.¹

How long can I use SPRAVATO?

• For patients receiving SPRAVATO for treatment resistant depression (TRD) with or without an antidepressant taken by mouth, your doctor will check your symptoms and decide at the end of the 4-week initial treatment period if you are to continue. If so, your doctor will determine how long SPRAVATO is needed.¹
• For patients receiving SPRAVATO for major depressive disorder (MDD) with suicidal thoughts or actions along with an antidepressant taken by mouth, your doctor will  
• check your symptoms and decide at the end of a 4-week period if you are to continue. We haven't studied the effects or outcomes of treatment longer than 4 weeks in MDD with suicidal thoughts or actions.¹
